My name is Matthew and I'm a Husband, Father, Business Owner, and a Skilled Union Tradesman. I've had the privilege of being a current member since 2011 to SAG-AFTRA, International Brotherhood of Teamsters since (2019) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers since (2020).
I started working dead end low paying jobs ❌ (Like Restaurants, Amazon and Uber to name a few) and since I made the transition into the trades world, I've never made so much money before just as an employee doing the work I love now! I've made upwards of $200k+ yearly with a lot of overtime during my best years just by working in the trades like being a Hollywood Union Teamster for some of the biggest Hollywood TV Shows, Commercials and Movies. Along with working in the TV/FILM industry, I also work in outside line construction, getting to work more with my hands and also operate equipment to build and repair the powerlines we live on with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
And guess what the #1 thing I've learned throughout this entire journey is...? 👉 You don't need a fancy college degree, family or friend connections (it can help), or a lot of money.
